Seduction is one of the scariest concepts in the English language; it strikes fear into the hearts of people world-wide, who believe, perhaps through insecurity, that their partner will desert them for a Seducer that can wield some incomprehensible mystical power, to lure them away.

This of course is completely untrue (unless the original relationship was very badly flawed in some way) but it makes for a good story; and since the media seems determined to try to send people neurotic, the role of the Seducer as some sort of degenerate Svengali or sexual pervert has been encouraged by the ignorant, organised religion and political correctness fanatics everywhere.

So called “Dating experts” would tell you that the way to have more sex in your life is to start a monogamous relationship with someone, and then to act as a doormat for that person. This gamut of ‘knowledge’ has powered a multi-million pound (last year, Europeans spent £157 million on Internet Dating alone) industry for many years; encouraging people to spend money they may not have on poor advice, flowers, jewellery, chocolates, clothes, holidays, and even plastic surgery.

Somewhere amongst all that commercialism, happiness became lost. And, now there exists people that have been lead to the belief that prostitution by proxy (i.e. spending excessive amounts of money to gain sex) is normal.

Unfortunately, searching for alternatives is not especially fruitful. One typically discovers either traditional “How to ‘settle’ and get married” advice, even though in the modern world, statistically this will end in a divorce. Or one finds the schemes of colourful oddball characters, that are incapable of getting a proper job, and who now resort to peddling neologism filled confidence-building courses. These tend to be focused around pop-psychology advice, fashion and grooming tips, conversational scripts and “education” in extremely implausible subjects such as ‘Alpha Biology amongst humans‘, ‘Subliminal Influence‘ or ‘The Kamikaze Sperm Hypothesis‘. Those who are particularly unlucky will also be lectured on spurious topics, such as ‘Body Language‘, ‘Creating Rapport‘, ’Psychic Energy‘ or ‘Human society 50,000 years ago‘. The sum total of all this twaddle apparently masquerades as a complete Seduction system, and might be priced at many thousands of dollars.

At best, both these routes could be described as misleading, but some people will do anything to separate other people from their hard earned money. And since it’s been known for ages that sex sells, the same people who would love to make you make you pay to use a wonderful free resource such as the Internet will happily sell you a system that claims to bring more sex into your life (They will probably sell you a subscription to Readers Digest and a set of steak knives too, given half a chance). Remember, the burden of proof for the viability of these systems is on those who are promoting their use; and since there is so little evidence of efficacy, the possibility of fraud could be raised.

There are of course many opportunities to learn about seduction from the real world. Meeting and seducing people should not be expensive, the world is filled with opportunities to interact with people, and it is then your choice to spend money or not, as you see fit. For example, if one desired fashion advice, this may easily be easily obtained from any retailer of fashionable clothing. Similarly, a Barber or Hairdresser would be very happy to talk to you about personal grooming.

Seduction Labs therefore exists to generate new technical and theoretical seduction ideas, which are just as important as the testing and verification of seduction strategies in the real world, and to show that using Intelligence, along with Wit, Charm and Charisma, the results can be more and better sex. Although you may think this is slightly obvious, people often forget about the role of intelligence.

Paraphrasing Aleister Crowley in his book “Evolutionary Agents“, Timothy Leary wrote: “…there are three ways to increase your intelligence:

• First, continually expand the scope, source, and intensity of the information you receive.

• Second, constantly revise your reality maps and seek new metaphors about the future to understand what’s happening now.

• Third, develop external networks for increasing intelligence. In particular, spend all your time with people as smart or smarter than you.”

Therefore, using an intelligent approach, we can improve the odds of getting laid, from the crap shoot that is “Dating”. And further, by making these ideas explicit, we find they become learnable.
